Finding a game in our catalogue: search, filters and sorting
How search ranks results, what each filter on the game keys page does, and a few shortcuts for narrowing a large catalogue quickly.

Our catalogue lists tens of thousands of keys, with many games stocked several times over for different platforms and regions. Browsing it from the top is rarely the quickest way to find something. This guide covers the tools that are, and how each one decides what to show you.
Search
There is a search box in the header on every page. On a computer you can jump to it from anywhere with Ctrl+K, or Cmd+K on a Mac.
Search looks for your words in game titles. If you type several words, it finds titles containing all of them, in any order, so "call duty" still finds Call of Duty. Results are ranked by how closely the title matches what you typed:
- A title that matches your search exactly.
- Titles that start with your search.
- Titles where a word starts with your search, so "witcher" finds The Witcher 3 before titles that only contain those letters inside a longer word.
- Titles that contain your search anywhere.
- Titles that contain all of your words, but not in the order you typed them.
Shorter titles come first among equally good matches, so a search for a game's name tends to put the base game above its expansions and bundles. Type the game's name rather than the edition. Searching for the name alone shows every edition together, and you can choose between them from there.
If you pick a sort order yourself, such as price from low to high, search respects it instead of ranking by match.
Filters
On a large screen the filters sit in a panel beside the results. On a phone, tap Filters to open them. Every filter can be combined with the others and with a search.
Availability
- In stock now shows only listings whose stock we have recently confirmed with our supplier. Leave it off to see the whole catalogue.
- Region-free shows only keys with no country restriction, which activate on an account from any country.
Platform
Tick one or more platforms. Selecting several shows listings for any of them, which is useful if you play on more than one.
Price
Drag either end of the slider, or type a minimum and maximum into the boxes. The boxes use the currency your cart is set to. The slider is spaced so that the lower price ranges, where most of the catalogue sits, get more room. Pushing a handle all the way to the end removes that limit.
Activates in
Search for a country or a whole continent to see only keys that can be activated there. Region-free keys are included, because they activate everywhere. When Region-free is switched on, this filter is greyed out, because it would make no difference.
Sorting
The sort menu above the results offers:
- Featured first, the default, which puts our current picks at the top.
- Price: low to high and Price: high to low.
- Title A to Z.
Sharing a search
Every search, filter and sort is part of the page address. Copy the address from your browser and anyone who opens it sees the same results, which is handy for sending a shortlist to a friend.
Keeping track
Tap the heart on any product to add it to your wishlist. It is stored in your browser, so you can come back to it later on the same device without signing in.
Prices on listing pages
The prices shown in search results and on product cards come from our catalogue, which we refresh from our supplier regularly. When you open a product, we check the current price and availability with the supplier, and we check again in your cart. Our article on how we confirm prices and availability has the details.
