Buying more than one copy of a game
How quantities work for game keys, the limits on a single order and why they exist, and how multiple codes are delivered.

You can buy several copies of the same game in one order, for example for a group of friends who want to play together, or for different accounts in the same household. Each copy is a separate code, and each code can be redeemed once on one account. Order three copies and you receive three codes.
How the limits work
There are two limits on an order, and the quantity buttons in your cart stop at whichever you reach first.
- Per product. Each product has its own limit on how many copies can be bought in one order. For most products it is five. No product allows more than nine copies in a single order.
- Per order. A whole order can contain up to 25 codes in total, across all products.
The limits also apply when you add the same product more than once. Adding a product that is already in your cart increases the quantity on that line instead of creating a second line, and the limit applies to the total.
Stock can lower the limit further. If the supplier has fewer copies available than the product's limit, the cart lets you choose up to what is available, and tells you if it has reduced a quantity you had already chosen.
Why there is a limit
After you pay, we obtain each code from our supplier individually. A small order is completed in moments. A very large one takes longer and has more steps that can be interrupted. Keeping orders to a sensible size means that once you have paid, we can deliver everything in one go, rather than leaving part of an order waiting.
The per-product limits are mostly set by the supplier, which caps how many copies of each product can be ordered at once.
How several codes are delivered
When an order contains more than one copy of a product, we show that product's codes together once all of them are ready. You will not see one code and be left wondering about the others.
Each code is listed separately:
- On the order confirmation page, each with its own reveal and copy buttons.
- In your confirmation email.
- In your account under Account, then Orders, if you were signed in.
Sharing codes with a group
If the codes are for other people, send each person their own code privately, for example by direct message. Avoid posting a list of codes in a group chat, where anyone can redeem any of them. Once a code is redeemed it belongs to that account, and it cannot be moved. Our article on buying a game key for someone else covers this in more detail.
